Katie's Bridal Portrait

I met Katie, her mom and friend Courtney this morning at the Palmer Home downtown. The rain subsided so we were able to get some fantastic shots both inside the house and out. We took a stroll down to the Battery and spent some time there playing under the live oaks and on the gazebo. Katie looked beautiful - like Snow White! If you have her password please enjoy the slideshow. Otherwise you will have to wait until the wedding in June.

Playing on the Beach

I met with Andy and Deborah last night on Wild Dunes Resort to have some fun on the beach. Oliver and Juliet, their two adorable children were so much fun to photograph! I could have taken pictures of them all night. Since it was overcast I wanted to add some color to the beach so I packed a kite, beach ball, skim board and some shells to use. The kite was a huge hit especially with Juliet. Of course I left the kite with Juliet so she could have more fun with her family at the beach once we were done! Andy's brother and his family as well as Andy's parents joined us for a little while to join in some photos.
Here are some black and whites I shot.

Which one do you like best? I would love to know!

The Girls Go To Savannah!

I wish I had brought my laptop to Savannah with me this past weekend. Janie, Laura and I made our annual girls weekend adventure in the sunny south this year. We stayed at the Mansion at Forsyth Park. What an AMAZING hotel! I would love to shoot a wedding there in the future...it is breathtaking. The decor is out of this world and our room was heavenly. The pillows - I MUST have them!

So our weekend started with a trip to the Charleston Airport to pick up Laura. Then we were off to Savannah to pick up Janie whose plane arrived just a few hours later! Our timing could not have been better.

Here we are settling into the hotel!

Check out the Mansion here!

We took my friend Jill's suggestion and ate dinner Thursday night at the Sapphire Grill. It was so good we went back again on Saturday night!

Don't we look good!

On Friday we watched as the city of Savannah began it's St. Patrick's Day preparations. The fountain in Forsyth Park as well as all the other city fountains were tinted green and there was a special dedication ceremony with all the "important people" of Savannah on hand in the park on Friday morning.

It didn't take us long to get into the GREEN!

With a full day of romping around the city being photographed, smiled at and our green boas in high demand (we could have made a fortune selling them!) we headed back to change and have another fantastic dinner at the famous Alligator Soul Restaurant. Check out the guys! Who do you think was having more fun? :)

Check out a few GLAM shots!

On Saturday we headed to Bonaventure Cemetary which was made famous in the book "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" back in the early 90's. The weather was beautiful and just look at some of the shots we took!

Well, after our tour of the cemetary we headed back downtown for some quick shopping. We all found a few cute things to bring home and then we were off to have our massages at the Mansion's Spa. Sorry but there are NO photos to share! Our dinner at the Sapphire Grill was once again spectacular and we capped off our evening with some jazz and mojito's back at the Mansion.
Next year ~ NEW YORK CITY!! Look Out....

A Downtown Shoot compliments of Jill

Jill invited me to lunch last week to meet Diana, a fabulous photographer from Savannah, and her husband downtown for lunch. I was decked out in my new Bobbie Brown makeup courtesy of Karen Henderson at the BB counter at Belk in Mount Pleasant! Here are a few she shot for me! I just love Jill's work. She is beautiful, talented and I am so happy she is my friend. You Rock Jill!

Which do you like??

Michael and Christine tie the knot!

The wind was whipping on Saturday afternoon for Michael and Christine's wedding by the pier at Folly Beach. Their deep love and respect for eachother was so apparent and so many of their friends told me just how much they loved both of them. Christine and Michael also gave me LOTS of time to take photos of the two of them!

Michael's dad was so adorable and sweet!
