Brooke and Marc ~ Summerall Chapel

After being married for a little over a year, Brooke and Marc were remarried in the company of their families and close friends on Saturday afternoon. Marc is a Citadel graduate and was recently deployed to Iraq. He is home now for awhile so he and his lovely bride chose to have a ceremony at the Summerall Chapel with Brooke's uncle performing their ceremony. Kate came along to help and we both agreed that these two were amazing to photograph!

There is a tradition at the Citadel ~ when a cadet gets married at the Chapel, the bride and groom walk through a sword arch, followed by a kiss and then the bride gets "tapped" on the behind with one of the swords. Brooke got a spanking!! OUCH.

Their reception was downtown at the Harbour Club. After taking some shots around the Citadel, we hit the area around Waterfront Park!

Goin' To The Chapel and We're Gonna Get Married

Shannon and David were married at Stella Maris Church on Sullivan's Island on Friday evening. It was a perfect day for a wedding. Robbin Knight, a friend and fellow photographer, met the guys at the Board Walk Inn at Wild Dunes for some pre-ceremony shots while I hung out at the church with the girls. Shannon and David celebrated a full Catholic mass and the party started just after that at the Citadel Beach House.

Shannon had on a blue sapphire ring for her "something blue", carried a lace hankie from Ireland as her "something new" and wore her mother's pearl bracelet as her "something borrowed."

David wanted to be sure everyone knew that he planned the proposal and wedding to coinside with the full moon as he spent many a night consulting the lunar calendar to be sure their universes were aligned!
