Look Who Jumped In With Their Clothes On!
Meet the Roy's! I just love how calm and poised they are ~ very mature. The boat made a great prop. We had a wonderful evening shooting out on the beach.
Now here is the same family jumping into their swimming pool! What fun. We should all act like kids a little more often don't you think!

Family Reunions and Playing Dress Up!
The past few days have been quite busy with family portraits for both of my photography companies! I had a blast the last two nights with the Shuster's and the Hornsby's. This was my first time working with the Shuster family. There were LOTS of them too! The family all got together to help celebrate Ken and Betty's 70th birthdays.
Happy Birthday!!!
The Hornsby's I have taken photos for in the past. This year we met for beach photos but we also got together at Boone Hall for a Period Shoot! I hooked them up with Theatrics Unlimited downtown on King Street for their costume fittings. Later we took the most incredible photos at the Plantation. The setting was PERFECT!

The Bernstein's
Last night I met Wendy and Darren out on Sullivan's Island with their adorable daughter Nora. We had such a great time. Darren put together a kite I brought and Nora loved flying it! We dug in the sand and played in the ocean. They were such fun to spend time with.

A Day of Remebrance
Here in Charleston we are honoring the 9 brave fire fighters who lost their lives last Monday trying to put out a fire West of the Ashley. It has been a sad week not only for those of us who live and work here, but for our country. Let us all take a moment today to pray for those men, their families and for all those brave and selfless men and women who serve and protect our country. They deserve nothing less than all of out thanks and praise.
May God bless and keep them and may He hold them and their families in the palm of His hand.
I have reposted some of the photos I shot at the Fire Museum

Anna's Bridal Session
After a hectic morning and afternoon wondering if we were going to be taking photos in the rain, God blessed us all with a gorgeous evening! In fact, yesterday was the longest day of the year and the first day of Summer! Anna looked stunning in her gown! I can't tell you or show you any more...if you have the password you can check out her photos. If not, please wait until after the wedding in two weeks!

Glow Spa
Okay! I have to tell you about my morning. Those of you who know me, know that I have been burning the candle on both ends and then some lately. By no means am I complaining I am thrilled to have such wonderful clients and two great companies with some awesome photographers helping me! I was feeling a bit "frumpy" however and needed some help. I called Glow Spa in Mt. Pleasant to set up some appointments. I had never been there before and will definitely be going back again!
So I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure with Angie, a massage with Jennifer and a facial with Tami. They treated me to lunch and a yummy green tea frappicino! I relaxed, I got pampered, I was treated so nicely by everyone there. Thank you Glow Spa. You made my day!!!

Sunrise, Sunrise
No, I am not going to break into a Nora Jones song! I was out on the beach at sunrise yesterday and again this morning for photo sessions with the most adorable children. Parents don't like the early morning shoots! Like me, they are practically in their pajamas. :)
Here is lovely Ella Grace
I have photographed Fairbanks and Mary Pope and they have really changed in a year!
You will see more of them after our Boone Hall shoot later on.

Brittany and Ryan ~ Boone Hall
Standing at the gates of the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation, Brittany and Ryan said "I DO" on a gorgeous Saturday night. Not a single detail was overlooked. The flowers were exquisite, the catering by Stephen Duvall was exceptional, and the music by Other Brother was rockin!
You can see more photos from their wedding here!
AND check out Brittany's bridal session we did in downtown Charleston a few months ago. You can see it here!

Kelli trashes her dress at Cypress Gardens
Jill and I had a great time with Kelli out at Cypress Gardens on Saturday morning! She was so excited to "get dirty" in the swamps of Cypress Gardens in N. Charleston. These trash the dress sessions are great! Check out some of her shots!
We even got to visit with a few "locals!"
What is this??
Here is a momma and her baby!
Check out more photos here and please let me know if you want to TRASH YOUR DRESS!

Katie and Micah ~ I'On Creek Club
The skies cleared last night for Katie and Micah as they got married on the porch of the I'On Creek Club in Mt. Pleasant. It turned out to be a lovely evening and everyone had a great time. Hamby's did a fantastic job catering and Katie put some lovely touches around the porch and hall. I loved her cupcake tree instead of the traditional cake! They even had Into the Mystic by Van Morrison playing at the start of the ceremony and danced to Lullaby by the Dixie Chicks as their first dance later in the evening! They are the most relaxed couple and compliment each other so well.
