Erin's Bridal Session
Erin had all the right moves yesterday while I was photographing her for her bridal portrait. She loved the camera and I had a hard time choosing photos for her slide show! Her dress is (oops can't tell you, sorry!) All I can say is WOW and just wait 'til the wedding. I was so thankful to have her mom and her wedding coordinator, Wennifer, helping out as we ran around Charleston.

Memorial Day
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and that you took some time on Monday to remember all the troops who have are still fighting for our great country. We are all indebted to these brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and way of life. I thank God for them and keep them in my prayers every day!
These faces you see are some families I took photos of the last few days. Today I am headed downtown for a bridal portrait and then off to see another family on the beach tonight!
AJ and Veronica have only a few more days of school and then it is vacation time for them. Spoletto has started here in Charleston and Veronica has several concerts with NaFidleiri. LaGare Farms, The Circular Church, and they record their next CD in two weeks! Exciting stuff indeed.

Heather and Justin Got Married!
Heather and Justin were married on Sunday afternoon at the beautiful Palmer Home in downtown Charleston. The piazza was the perfect place to hold this intimate affair. The breeze off the harbor was nothing short of wonderful on a hot day. Once again I had the chance to spend a lot of time taking photos of them around some of the historic homes and at White Point Garden.

The Havens' Family ~ With a Surprise!
I met up with the Havens' family last night at their house on Palm Blvd. We had a "picture perfect" night on the beach. This particular sitting was exciting because Devin proposed to his girlfriend!! It was so exciting. When Pat told me about the proposal several months ago, I had suggested that he do it when I was there so I could document the surprise!! It was GREAT!

Sean and Erika ~ Ash Lawn-Highland
Erika and Sean were married late in the afternoon on Friday. It was a beautiful wedding at Ash Lawn-Highland near beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. My BFF, Laura, came along as my second shooter which really was loads of fun. She is a fantastic photographer and I was thrilled to work together. I had not met Erika or Sean until the wedding but instantly fell in love with them. They are the nicest, most down to earth couple. It was so clear to me how much they truly love each other.
Jennifer Pharr did a wonderful job helping them with the arrangements at Ash-Lawn. She too loved Erika and Sean and wanted to help them any way she could! How nice is she! Derek, the DJ and Emcee did a great job pacing the events of the evening and Erika's uncle did an outstanding job catering the food. He owns LaCocina Del Sol in Crozet and in town.
I loved Sean's sense of humor!
Erika is stunning.
I loved the fence with the rings.
If you can tell me why I took this shot I will put your name into a drawing for a $15 gift certificate for photos from the wedding.

Amy Nelsen and Friends
Tonight at Wild Dunes I took photos with Amy, her family and a bunch of her friends. They were so much fun!! Take a look at a few of their photos!
I left Charlottesville this morning at 5:30 and got home around 1:00. That was pretty good timing for a holiday traffic. I hope to have all the photos up from Erika and Sean's wedding tomorrow or Monday! Be on the lookout.

At Home In Charlottesville
Today is Erika and Sean's wedding day at Ash Lawn. Laura and I will be heading there around 2:00 to get to work. It is going to be another spectacular day and I couldn't be happier for them!
Yesterday I split the day between Peg and Dana. I started out driving over to my old neighborhood off Owensville Rd. to see my old house. It has been on the market for awhile now and looked pretty lonely with no one living there to take care of it. Then it was off to Bodo's for breakfast and shopping on the downtown mall.
Mojitos with lunch at Mono Loco!
Peg had to leave for an appointment and then head to Fluvanna for her son's baseball game. I headed out to meet Dana for coffee at this cute coffee shop in Belmont. There are a lot more coffee spots in and around Charlottesville now. It reminded me of Seattle.
Dana and I headed back to the Mall to walk before catching up again with Peg. The new amphitheatre is beautiful and the mall was quite busy with it being such a gorgeous day. I saw John Grisham and his wife, Vanessa having dinner and Boyd Tinsley, the violinist from the Dave Matthew's Band, having a drink at Miller's. I took this photo of the mall before I saw him sitting there. Boyd is in the right corner!
We had a delicious dinner at Orzo, an Italian restaurant and wine bar.
For fun I took their photos outside the restaurant against this cool blue tile wall. Both of them love blue!
It was a great day!
If you live in or have ever been to C'ville, I would love to know what your favorite thing to do is! Leave a comment here.

Good Friends and Good Wine!
I started the day in Harrisonburg with Laura. Once we got the kids off to school we hit two local wineries in the Shenandoah Valley. Of course we could not be together without doing (or wearing) something silly!
Rockbridge is located in Raphine, VA. I liked their Rose Shiraz.
This winery, Veritas, is in Afton near Wintergreen. I loved it. Gorgeous place for a wedding and the wine was wonderful.
Okay, so the shirts are a little corny but we had fun wearing them.
The flowers were beautiful everywhere we went.
We had a fabulous lunch in Nellysford at this adorable restaurant and shop.
Then it was off to Charlottesville to visit my friends, Peg and Dana. I saw an old familiar site; the Boar's Head balloon over Peg's house.
Dana met up with us after work and brought some munchies. We laughed, talked and drank more wine. It was a great day.

Greetings and Surprises From Harrisonburg
Yesterday was quite a blur now as I sit and write this post. I was so excited about leaving to start my trip, I left all my makeup at home. For those of you that might be thinking - BIG DEAL... it is for a "mature" lady like myself. (hehe) So I guess a trip to the store is on tap for today. What will I do without my BOBBIE BROWN!!!
The drive was uneventful. The weather was gorgeous and I drove all 8 hours with the top down. It felt great to have my music blasting, singing and driving all by myself.
I got to Laura's house around 3:30 in the afternoon. Look how lovely it is.
This is Katie and Shane.

Colin
The McLaughlin's have started a huge renovation project to add on to the back of the house. I got to see some of the work they have already done and the beginnings of the expansion.
Laura and I finally sat down to catch up when one of the workmen came in to ask for a hose. Then he came back in to ask us to call 911. THERE WAS A FIRE! We spent the next two hours outside watching the firemen do their job. Thankfully no one was hurt and there was minimal damage.
I am looking forward to a little quieter day with Laura today!
